Wednesday report
The doubles
Everybody is getting more tired everyday especially if you have to start so early like today. Eight o’clock was when everybody came in the sport Hall. When the tournament started you could see all the sleepy faces on the courts. Eventually everybody was really awake and all the doubles started.
In the girls double it was very close. Three couples had the same amount of points gathered but eventually the Danish girls had 12 more points scored overall(in their games). So the two Danish girls Louise Heilskov and Josefine Bloch went on to the semi finals. They won from Johanne Mellergaard and Natasja Michaelsen in three sets so now they are in the finals. The other semi final has been won by Rinske Deriga and Stephanie Tseng.
There was one semi final of the boys who was close. Two Danish couples competed with each other. Simon Jensen and Morten Andreasen played against Nicolai Fjeldgaard and Mads Rosager. Simon and Morten won and tomorrow they have to play against Jordy Tukker and Stephan Branderhorst.
Partying
In the evening all the players were invited at the house of Nikki van de Ven. It was her birthday so she had a party. Eventually there were almost 40 people there. They played poker and talked about everything. Also they learned to speak some Danish words. And the English ones (especially Aiden Mcquinn) learned allot of strange Dutch words.
The coaches, leaders and some host families had a great time too. They had a tour trough Almere and afterwards a barbeque. So all and all everybody had a great time and went to bed very late…again.
