The arrival
Today the real moment was there. Busses loaded with tired sportspeople entered the Fanny Blankers Koen gym. Now they can finally stretch there legs and breath in the Almere air.
Sweden was very enthusiastic because they came two hours earlier than they planned. That has to say something.
Around 5 o’clock Germany came to the FBK. The eye catcher in the German club was the coach Thomas. He wore his BVA T-shirt wich he got 4 year ago at the Youth Games of 2002. After Germany it was Denmarks turn. They came with the largest group of 12 badminton players. Also nice to know is that the players do not come from just one club, they come from 3 different clubs. What also struck the view were the amazing golf bags. They were really huge!
Half an hour later than planned Lancaster came in. Some of the rackets had gone lost in Shiphol which is why they were a bit late. No problem, these things happen on airports. What was really cool is that some of the players recognized each other.
All the kids safely got home with their host families. And they really look forward to this week.
